What will my child learn in RE?
We follow the Living and Growing as the People of God Scheme across the school; starting in Nursery and ending in Year 6. Across the year, every year group will explore the Liturgical Units such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Pentecost. There will also be some units which focus on how we can live as Christians or linking to the Sacraments that our Catholic children will receive.
RE is taught across two lessons a week and it can be taught in a variety of ways. There will be opportunities for drama, role play, art, music and singing as ways for our children to learn about the teachings of Christ. Parents will receive feedback about their child's understanding and contributions to RE lessons in their end of year report.
