Year 2
Welcome to Year 2.
We aim to provide a happy and secure learning environment where all children are encouraged to try their best and reach their full potential. We ensure that the classrooms are an exciting and stimulating place to be, which motivates them to work hard and achieve highly whilst having fun.
The class teachers are Miss Cross and Mrs Wilkinson with support from Miss Norman and Mrs Rogers.
PE is on a Tuesday and Thursday. Children are asked to come to school on these days wearing their full PE kit. This includes a red t-shirt or red polo shirt, black shorts or jogging bottoms and trainers. Children should still wear their school jumper or cardigan on this day and no jewellery (including stud earrings) should be worn.
Our Learning
Find out more about our learning during Year 2:
Our Saints
Saint John Paul II
John 2’s class saint is Saint John Paul II. He is our class saint because he showed what it means to be brave, faithful, and full of joy even in the face of challenges.
He reminds us to stand up for what is right, to pray often, and to trust God completely. His famous words, “Do not be afraid,” inspire us to follow Jesus in our daily lives.

Saint John Paul II
Saint Cecilia
Mary 2’s class saint is Saint Cecilia. She is the patron saint of music and musicians.
She is our class saint because her life inspires us to stay strong in our faith and to use our talents – especially music and the arts – to praise God and bring joy to others. Saint Cecilia teaches us that even in difficult times, we can live with love, hope, and courage.
